Michael McGee

Mike McGee worked in IT as a manager, project manager and consultant, in Australia and the US, for seven years. He held the positions of: Business Affairs Director (CFO) at Spike Networks; Managing Director of OVEN Digital Australia; and General Manager of Nethead.

Since 2002 he has collaborated on Choice Modelling projects and developed computer-based survey instruments. He has taken Jordan Louviere's postgraduate course in Choice Methods at the Centre for the Study of Choice at UTS, and is involved in a Choice-related software development project, along with a few key academics, under the umbrella of the Smart Internet Technology CRC. Previous to his IT career, McGee worked in several commercial finance roles, including a four-year stint with global auction house Sotheby's.

McGee holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Sydney, and has lectured in his various fields of expertise.

Steve Cook

Steve Cook has been managing major IT, web and software implementations for 11 years.

Previously a commercial photographer (89-95), an interface designer, film maker and now project manager, Steve’s experience covers the breadth of web, research, and media industries and has seen him in management roles both in Australia and overseas.

In 1999 Steve moved to Tokyo to head up production as 2IC of Spike Cyberworks in Japan and was responsible for production throughout Asia, building multilingual teams to handle projects for the Toyota Motor Corporation, Daimler Chrysler, Issey Miyake, Nikko Saloman Smith Barney, Levis and advertising agency, I&S BBDO (among others). Spike Tokyo was the most profitable arm of Spike Cyberworks and operated as a dominant force in Japan in the disciplines of application development, online business strategy, integrated communications and campaign development.

Steve returned to Australia in 2003 to begin work with Academics from the AGSM and UTS to develop the world’s first automated Information Acceleration and Choice Modelling software for undertaking quantitative research.

Described as one of three "absolute masters" of project management, Steve is at the forefront of his field in building, managing and maintaining Choice based research instruments.
